The Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) is an independent research foundation with locations in Kjeller and Halden. Our mission is ‘Research for a better future’. We are an international leading multi-disciplinary research organisation, with international top-level expertise in the fields of digital technologies, material and process technology, flow and analysis technologies, radiopharmaceutical technology and nuclear technology.

We develop innovative technological solutions for both industry and the public sector in more than 30 countries. Our research focus are renewable energy, nuclear technology, material technology, digitalization, radio pharmacy & health, oil & gas, industry & environment, security & safety.

ROLE in INDY project

IFE serves as a key R&D partner in the INDY project, expanding our scientific network, fostering future collaborations in Horizon Europe, and enhancing attractiveness for companies in the development of mobile renewable energy solutions, also in civil markets, with a focus on reduced visibility and sound signatures.
