The University of Maribor, established in 1975, is Slovenia's second largest and second oldest university, with 17 faculties and around 14,000 students. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the largest research and educational institution within the university, enrols 2,300 students, has 320 employees, and operates with a budget of 22.5 million EUR, including 10 million EUR dedicated to research.
The faculty specializes in mechatronics, electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, informatics, and media communications, with a core mission of generating and sharing new knowledge with students and industry. Our slogan is: ''Create your future through knowledge and teamwork.''
ROLE in INDY project
The University of Maribor supports the partnership with our knowledge, computer tools and experimental equipment in the fields of microgrids, smart grids, utilisation of renewable energy sources, control, energy management, power electronics converters, prediction models and artificial intelligence.
